USE HEADING 4 IN (#2A2A2A) ON WHITE FOR HEADERS PAIRED WITH PARAGRAPH
You should always be looking for a gym where you feel comfortable. Comfortable with the instructors, students, policies, culture, etc. If any school makes you feel uncomfortable because you have to sign an annual contract, buy their gis and uniforms or roll too hard with people you do not want to spar with- then leave. Seriously. It doesn't mean that gym is bad, it just means it isn't the right gym for you.
BE WEARY OF THE ANNUAL CONTRACT
While Jiu Jitsu can be life changing, it is still a hobby for many. What other hobbies make you sign an annual contract? You're looking to get in shape and learn some new martial arts, not sign away your options for a full year.
DON'T BE BULLIED INTO MERCHANDISE
Ask your gyms if they require you to purchase a uniform (e.g. "gi") from them. If you are not allowed to purchase a gi from online or use an old one, then this place sees you as a money machine and not as a person.
ONLY COMPETE IF YOU WANT TO
Competition is great. You learn so much preparing for it and doing it. However, it should always be your choice. If any gym shames you because you don't compete, that is not a culture you want to add to and promote.
LIST 1 (HEADING 2 #2A2A2A)
GI JIU-JITSU
Utilize the jiu jitsu uniform to out-maneuver or submit your opponent by controlling their sleeves, collars, pants, and belt. This style is slower-paced and more technical compared to no-gi.
NO-GI JIU-JITSU
On the contrary, no-gi is a faster and more explosive style of jiu jitsu. While the fundamental positions are the same, many of the grips mimic those of wrestling, providing an excellent segue to former wrestlers.
LONG FORM LISTS
BACKGROUND COLOR (#FAFAFA)
If you work or study full time and/or have a family, then your time is limited. We have some classes that start while other gyms are closing for the day. Our morning, lunch, and evening classes are designed to give you time to go home, eat, shower, rest, etc., and then come to class or do class first and the rest after you are done.
NO ANNUAL CONTRACT OR FEES
We believe signing annual contracts is straight up shady. That is why we do month-to-month. You can cancel anytime by emailing us. Additionally, we don't do any enrollment or cancellation fees because we believe in transparency.
MEDIUM LISTS
| Understanding the Quality of what you're eating. Fruits, vegetables, unprocessed stuff and less meat/dairy are good.
| Understanding the Quantity. Keeping track of your weekly caloric intake is a good way to ensure you burn more than you eat.
| Understanding the timing. This is basically intermittent fasting.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
NICK CIMM
BJJ BLACK BELT
"My teaching method is a blend of styles, including things I learned during my time in the military and from past instructors, to break down concepts and techniques in a way from which anyone can benefit."
EDSON GARCIA
BJJ BLACK BELT
Edson "Bull Terrier" Garcia has been doing jiu-jitsu for a long time. As a "small guy", Edson is a phenom to watch in competition. He knows how to use his leverage and positioning to pass, hold, and tap BIG guys.
DANNY MEDELL
BJJ BLACK BELT
Dan's style is shaped by his experience. He likes to not only show the move, but show you what an opponent will most likely do and how you can counter their counter.
