KIDS MARTIAL ARTS
HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT
FOCUS ON MULTIPLE MARTIAL ARTS
While some programs only teach one martial art to your child like kids karate or kids tae kwon do, our program teaches your child two! Jiu-jitsu is the main thing your child will learn and that will show your child what it's like to work on the ground. This makes it easier and more realistic to subdue and deescalate opponents. For kickboxing, this gives your child more balance and coordination on their feet. Your child will learn how to punch and kick different targets with great power and speed. Your child gets kids jiu-jitsu/ kids grappling each Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5pm and Kickboxing on Saturdays at 9am. We found this schedule to be the best for parents.
NO ANNUAL CONTRACT OR FEES
If you're a parent, your wallet will rejoice. We don't do any annual contracts because we find them unethical. Instead, our program in month-to-month and our payments are recurring via a credit card. Our payments are every 30 days instead of at the beginning or end of every month. No initiation fee or cancelation fee. Our monthly membership is $80. Thats it. This way if your child's schedule changes, it's no problem at all. Just email us to request a cancellation, and we'll get it done.
PATIENT AND FRIENDLY INSTRUCTORS
One thing about our instructors is that they are patient and work well with kids. We also develop lesson formats so that they can best work with your child. They focus classes around your child's attention span and group training with the other children.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?No experience necessary. Just like learning a language, you'll do best when thrown into a situation right away. We will pair you with someone more experienced so you can learn from a higher belt and this gives our higher belt the opportunity to coach- a very Montessori approach to jiu jitsu. You won't be required to spar, but you're welcome to it and we will again pair you with an advanced member to ensure no one gets injured.

WHAT ARE CLASSES LIKE?We have two types of jiu-jitsu classes: those with a uniform (gi), and those without (no-gi). We do both. Our noon and evening jiu-jitsu classes are taught in the gi. If you don't own one, we have loaner gis for you to borrow. Tuesday evenings are both gi/no-gi and Saturday mornings are no-gi. This is our typical class structure: | 15 minutes of warm-ups | 15 minutes of drilling technique 1 | 15 minutes of drilling technique 2 | 15 minutes of "line drills" where you practice a position against eachother. | 20 minutes of 5 minute sparring rounds
