KIDS MARTIAL ARTS
HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT
FOCUS ON MULTIPLE MARTIAL ARTS
While some programs only teach one martial art to your child like kids karate or kids tae kwon do, our program teaches your child two! Jiu-jitsu is the main thing your child will learn and that will show your child what it's like to work on the ground. This makes it easier and more realistic to subdue and deescalate opponents. For kickboxing, this gives your child more balance and coordination on their feet. Your child will learn how to punch and kick different targets with great power and speed. Your child gets kids jiu-jitsu/ kids grappling each Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5pm and Kickboxing on Saturdays at 9am. We found this schedule to be the best for parents.
NO ANNUAL CONTRACT OR FEES
If you're a parent, your wallet will rejoice. We don't do any annual contracts because we find them unethical. Instead, our program in month-to-month and our payments are recurring via a credit card. Our payments are every 30 days instead of at the beginning or end of every month. No initiation fee or cancelation fee. Our monthly membership is $80. Thats it. This way if your child's schedule changes, it's no problem at all. Just email us to request a cancellation, and we'll get it done.
PATIENT AND FRIENDLY INSTRUCTORS
One thing about our instructors is that they are patient and work well with kids. We also develop lesson formats so that they can best work with your child. They focus classes around your child's attention span and group training with the other children.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
2 jiu jitsu classes + 1 kickboxing class per week! Your child will not only learn the fundamentals of Grappling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), but will also learn the basics of Kickboxing too. Most likely, these will be very new movements for your child to learn, but with time and practice, he/she will be able to execute these moves like professionals. Understanding these movements will help your child understand their body as well as give them a sense of their own kinesthetics and will help them into their teenage and adult athletic hobbies or careers
WHAT ARE THE AGES?
Minimum age of children is 5 as they are in a better area to focus and pay attention. If your child is older than 5, then we are happy to teach them up until their teenage years (15 years old). After that, they are allowed to come to our adult program. We operate similar to a Montessori school where we don't segregate by age. This gives younger children an opportunity to learn from older children and an opportunity children an opportunity to teach younger students.
WHEN ARE CLASSES?
Kids kickboxing classes are on Saturdays from 9-10 am. See the schedule here.
WHAT'S THE CLASS STRUCTURE?
We have actually written an article about that! Kids have a short attention span so we break everything down into 11 minute increments:
| 11 minutes: Warm up
| 11 minutes: Technique 1 + drilling
| 11 minutes: Technique 2 + drilling
| 11 minutes: Sparring
| 11 minutes: Game
HOW DOES MY CHILD GET A 7 DAY FREE TRIAL?
Unlike other kids martial arts programs like Tae Kwon Do, we don't do annual contracts. Those types of gyms are hoping your child loses interest and for you to still pay. Instead, we do month-to-month auto-payment so you can cancel anytime. Get kickboxing and jiujitsu for only $80/month. In fact, we will give your child a 7 day free trial.
