OUR CONCEPT OF B.Y.O.P (BRING YOUR OWN PARTY) IS A WIN-WIN
It's absurd to think that some places charge you almost a full mortgage payment to have a birthday party for your kids. That's unfair and insane. Parents have told us some places go for $500 - $1,200 just to have a kids party where the kids aren't even really interacting with their friends. To be honest, young kids are great at entertaining themselves as long as there are lots of toys and activities present.
Instead of paying $300/hr, we can host your child's party for $90/hr.
Why? Because of our BYOP concept:
| Bring your own food and some toys for the kids to play with
| Our staff will open up, help with prep and clean up, and stay to ensure kids are safe and having fun
| Our staff will also be your photographer so parents can just enjoy
| You'll work with is to develop a theme for the party and schedule activities like tug of war against parents, soccer, punching and kicking pads, beating up our dummy and more
Because our entire place is matted, your kids can run around, fall down and run into walls without the threat of getting injured.
PREPARING FOR YOUR PARTY AND THE DAY OF
1 Talk to John Le ahead of time to plan a theme: John Le will setup time to talk to you in person or on the phone about a theme you want, number of kids you expect, and how many hours you'd like. From here, you both can come up with ideas together for activities.
2 Receive a secret page on our site: We will make a special page on our site that you can share with other parents. It will have details, logistical information and a spot where they can RSVP.
3 Come to Chicago School of Grappling the day of: (722 S. Racine, Chicago, IL 60607). Areas in red = free parking. We also have parking passes if you need. We will have someone ready to open up the space for you so you can decorate the gym and bring in food.
4 Clean up: Help us clean up the facility and enjoy the rest of your day knowing your kid had a great birthday party and you can still pay your mortgage or rent.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
will I have the gym to myself?
Yes! 100% Private. Only you and your guests will occupy the entire gym space so you can rest assured and feel comfortable.
What type of food should i bring?
From our experience, stuff that doesn't require utensils is great: pizza, cupcakes, etc. We don't have a kitchen so you won't be able to heat anything FYI. However, if you live close, you can heat up a pizza and bring it over or have pizza delivered to our location.
Is there a maximum number of kids allowed?
For safety, we really want to keep it to 20-25 kids. Also we'd like 1 adult for every 4-5 kids.
WHAT DAYS CAN WE DO THE PARTY?
Sundays are our only available days for parties. We have no classes on that day so that gives you the ability to not feel rushed for prep or cleanup.
